"TV dramas somehow manage to set ever higher standards and Line of Duty underpins that view absolutely. Unbelievably well crafted plot twists, turns, back tracking and U turns. Outstandingly great acting, characters you really root for and believe in. I'm sure the technical accuracy is spot on. Provides a fantastic insight into what challenges the Police face every day, the painful bureaucracy in creating an audit trail for all their work. Very resource intensive. Series 1-3 are an absolute must watch. The concluding episode in series 3 is totally gripping."- Paul Jordanpc

"Without a doubt, the best series that has been broadcast on TV in many years. I had a week off from my job and due to the covid situation, I decided to binge watch from the very beginning. I was hooked from the first episode of series 1and for the next several days I continued to watch as the story unravelled and just as I began to think I was being taken down a particular road , Boom! something happened that threw me completely. This whole series is a credit to the writers and the directors but much more to the incredible cast who brought each character to life with amazing believability. I am hoping, along with many others, that there will be another series commissioned as I think that there's still a lot of life left in this series. Well done to everyone connected to this superb show 👏👏👏" - Alun Boobier

Line of Duty

The series follows Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar), DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) and DC Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) as they lead an investigation into the actions of Sergeant Danny Waldron (Daniel Mays).  It kicked off with a raid that ended with Armed response leader Sergeant Danny Waldron gunning down a suspect, Ronan Murphy. Waldron later lurked at the funeral and followed Linus Murphy before breaking into his home and killed him. It was revealed Linus and Ronan had abused Waldron as a child while Waldron was living in a children’s home. Waldron was later killed in a drug raid and the rest of his team claimed he had killed himself.

"I love crime drama to read and to watch. I've watched Line of Duty from day one and I think it's the best I've seen. The acting is great and the storylines are riveting. They keep you on your toes wondering and guessing who the villains are . My two daughters are keen followers too so as a family we have lots of discussions. I was so pleased that all the previous series were shown on the iPlayer so that I could refresh my memory before this one started."- Pat Hanna
