Sypnosis

"最爱的神雕演绎，这就是我心中的神雕侠侣"- Jie Xu

The serial is about the touching tale of the underlying and forbidden romance between Yang Guo and his martial arts master, Xiaolongnü. Yang Guo met Xiaolongnü when he ventured unknowingly into the Tomb of the Living Dead. He became her apprentice and they lived together in the tomb for many years until Yang Guo grew up. Yang Guo and Xiaolongnü developed romantic feelings for each other, but their romance was forbidden by the prevailing norms of the pugilistic world. Hence, their love was met with several tests.


Xiaolongnü left Yang Guo again since she believed that she could not recover from a fatal poison. Nevertheless, she promised to meet Yang Guo 16 years later in order to prevent him from committing suicide. While Yang Guo was wandering in the pugilistic world alone, he met several formidable martial artists and a giant condor. His martial art skills improved tremendously after learning from them. His adventures had molded him into a courageous hero and perhaps the most powerful martial artist of his time.

The Return of the Condor Heroes (1998) is a Singaporean television series adapted from Louis Cha's world renowned swordfighting classic novel of the same title. It was broadcast from 2 June to 27 July 1998 on TCS Eighth Frequency in Singapore. It stars Christopher Lee as Yang Guo and Fann Wong as Little Dragon Girl (Xiaolongnü). It was directed by Laurence Ma (马玉辉), Ching-Shing Choy (蔡晶盛), Meng Yang Chia (谢敏洋), Chong Liung Man (张龙敏) and Loo Yin Kam (卢燕金). It was also the first time that a giant condor was brought to life on screen through the use of computer animations and modern graphics effect.
